  1. Thanks for sharing Christmas day with us Miranda. love you xxxx

  2. Congratulations on having the courage of your convictions, Miranda. You have my full support and admiration and I wish you success in your brave campaign to stop the destruction of this area of Tassy’s beautiful forests. I have just returned home from 2 months on the Atherton Tablelands where I was deeply saddened by the tragic legacy of man’s short sightedness in over 100 years of destruction of the tropical wet rain forests there. Accessible rain forest was first logged extensively then cleared for agricultural purposes, leaving tiny remnant pockets of original rainforest, now heavily infested with lantana and other weeds and unable to sustain its once rich diversity of fauna. Fortunately much of what remains is now World Heritage Listed, thanks to Bob Hawk’s government. If our current government wakes up in time, perhaps you and others like you will be successful in preserving Tassy’s remaining old growth forests before they go the way of so much of far north Queensland’s wet tropical rain forests.

  3. I’m glad your Christmas Day was so nice. The weather looked okay. Melbourne had heavy rain, violent hail and lightning and hundreds. I was worried you might have had bad weather too, but looks as if you were okay. Protect our native forests and no pulp mill!

  4. Hi Miranda,

Thanks for doing what you are doing! We on the ground rely on the passion, the willingness to stare physical and legal intimidation in the face, and daily sacrifice of creature comforts by people like you to confront those who would disregard our land’s rights and our survival. We support you all the way.
